| 1980 | Hans Ryf acquires the company in 1980. He and his wife Margreth continually expand the business. |
| 1984 | The company moves to “Marktpassage” in the centre of Grenchen. The infrastructure is expanded to include a demo room for microscopes. |
| 1986 | Expansion on the second floor for the microscopy department. |
| 1994 | The company turns into a private limited company. |
| 1994 | Again the company is bursting at its seams. Temporary improvement achieves by moving to the new premises on Bettlachstrasse 2 (where the camera and photographic shop is located today). |
| 1995 | The second floor with about 160m2 is extended for a Demo room, repair shop and offices. |
| 1999 | Daniel Ryf joins the company, representing the second generation to run his parents’ business. |
| 2001 | Ryf Ltd’s innovative performance is awarded with the State of Solothurn ‘Company of the Year’ Prize. |
| 2001 | The company is bursting at it seems again, temporary improvement achieves by renting space for the shop and Studio. |
| 2003 | The company acquires and reconstructs the old-established “Löwen-House“ in the centre of town. With these new premises comprising 800 m2, confined space is at last a matter of the past. The new, spacious showroom allows presenting the practical application of over 100 microscopes, complete measuring and testing systems as well as the range of accessories. The infrastructure for the divisions of maintenance, service and repairs is extended considerably. |
| 2004 | Biggest choice and biggest demonstration room for microscope in Switzerland. |
| 2005 | World Wide Sales Agent for Hugi Sorting- and measuring machines MS600. |
| 2005 | 40th anniversary of Ryf Ltd. Additional expansion of services, including enlargement of the warehouse, repairs workshop and mechanical workshop. |
| 2006 | Founding of the Sales office and Demo room in Commugny/VD to be close to Geneva (for Cantons VD, GE, VS and NE) . |
| 2006 | New official Sales Partner for Vision Engineering, UK ( Sole Sales and Repair Agency for Western Switzerland/French Part) for Lynx, Kestrel and Hawk. |
| 2007 | Nikon Distributor (Sales and Service for Nikon Instruments Europe) for Switzerland, including Nikon Nexiv 3D CNC Measuring machines. |
