Talyrond® 170 Raceway – High-precision roundness and raceway measurement system for bearing production

The Talyrond® 170 Raceway was developed specifically for the requirements of high-speed ball bearing production and offers fast, high-precision measurements for process-oriented quality control. The system meets all the key requirements of modern bearing manufacturers: maximum measurement accuracy, high throughput, mechanical stability and ease of use in an industrial environment.

In close cooperation with leading manufacturers in the bearing industry, Taylor Hobson has specifically tailored the system to the critical measurement characteristics of raceways. These include the high-precision measurement of roundness, straightness, profile deviations and other form-related parameters directly on inner and outer rings.

To ensure reproducible results even under difficult production conditions, the Talyrond® 170 Raceway is equipped with a fully active anti-vibration system and automated active levelling. These features ensure a stable measuring environment and eliminate disruptive influences caused by vibrations or uneven installation surfaces – even when integrated into production lines.
